What is a managing agent?

The managing agent is a legally independent retailer.
Within their own company (LLC, single-member LLC, etc.), they run their store while adhering to the company’s commercial policy. Besson entrusts them with the operation and management of its stores' business assets.
The business assets remain entirely the property of Besson, which assumes all the operational risks.

The stock is also owned by Besson, which controls the store’s product assortment.
The managing agent is paid a commission based on the store’s sales revenue.
No entry fee is required.

Their main tasks consist of:

  • Recruit and supervise their own staff.
  • Develop sales and the profit margin of various departments.
  • Carry out targeted operations, especially in merchandising, sales events, promotions, and more generally manage local communications.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction in their store and reflect the “Besson Chaussures” brand image.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals with significant management experience in retail.

Your integration process:

When you join us as a managing agent, you will benefit from a tailored onboarding and training program.

  1. Signing of your agreement

  2. One-month training period in a training store. You will be supported by a trainer managing agent and will learn everything you need to know about running a store — from receiving merchandise to merchandising, management, operations, and monitoring your results.

  3. Ongoing training support from a regional coach

  4. Training on company creation and basic labor law provided by a law firm

  5. Access to an e-learning platform offering courses for you and your team

  6. Taking charge of your own store with the support of your regional coach
